The Graseby Prize for the best free paper presented by a trainee anaesthetist was won by Dr Keith Anderson, Lecturer and Specialist Registrar in the University Department of Anaesthesia, Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

 

His study, entitled "A randomised partially blinded controlled trial comparing operator administered Midazolam with Patient Maintained Sedation with propofol for wisdom tooth extraction" was carried out at the Glasgow Dental Hospital.

The Fresenius Vial Master TCI System was won by Dr Michael Gilbert, Consultant CardioThoracic Anaesthetist at Morriston Hospital, Swansea.
